Western Massachusetts Man 'Jumped,' Stabbed Multiple Times, Police Say

A Western Massachusetts man was stabbed multiple times after allegedly being "jumped by four young males.

The incident took place around 6:20 p.m., Monday, June 28, when the Holyoke Police received a call from Holyoke Medical Center informing them they had just received a stabbing victim in the emergency room, said Captain Matthew Moriarty.

Holyoke Police officers responded to the hospital and was told the victim, a man in his 50s, suffered multiple stab wounds. 

The victim reports being “jumped” by four young males. Reportedly the stabbing took place in the 170 section of Sargeant Street, Moriarty said.

The Holyoke Police Criminal Investigation Bureau was advised about the stabbing and opened an investigation, the investigation is ongoing. 

The victim is expected to survive.
